Situations

When a person passes away WITHOUT Will

When a person passes away without Will, any person who has an interest towards the deceased estate can apply to court for a Letters of Administrator to be an Administrator to administer the deceased estate. The LA will enable the administrator to administer your estate and distribute your assets in accordance to Distribution Act 1958 and Intestate Succession Ordinance 1960.

When a person passes away WITH Will

When a person passes away with Will, an Executor that has been appointed by the person will need a Grant of Probate (GP) issued by the high court in order to administer the estate. The GP will enable the executor to handle and distribute the person's assets according to his/her Will
