Private Trust Talk for Penang Down Syndrome Association

PB Trustee Services Berhad (“PBTSB”) is honoured to be given the opportunity to share the knowledge and experiences on Private Trust with the members of Penang Down Syndrome Association. The session was held at Berjaya Penang Hotel during the 24^th Annual General Meeting of Penang Down Syndrome Association on 19^th March 2023. The topic discussed was “Protecting Your Special Needs Children with Private Trust”, and we are grateful for this wonderful opportunity to create awareness and share information about this important subject with the members of Penang Down Syndrome Association.

A Private Trust is an effective and essential tool for providing financial assistance and security to individuals with special needs, such as Down Syndrome. By setting up a trust, you can ensure that your loved ones have access to the financial resources they require throughout their lives. This includes expenses related to housing, healthcare, education, and other necessities. A Private Trust can also assist in administering and preserving assets to ensure that income or asset distributions are made in accordance with your preferences and wishes. This is especially important for those who have dependents, particularly special needs children, who may not be able to manage their own finances or affairs. In short, Private Trust offers a safe and effective approach to administer and preserve your wealth while also financially caring for your dependents.

During the talk, Mr. Shawn Lew discussed Private Trust further, including its functions, features, benefits, and the ways to establish a trust tailored to one’s specific needs. Mr. Lew also shared real-life examples to help members better understand the ways in which a trust can be used to manage wealth effectively for their loved ones.
